Senior Engineer

About the role

John Paul Construction is expanding its team in Ireland and is looking for a Senior Engineer to support the Project Manager and the wider project team. You will play a key technical role on high‑rise, residential and commercial building projects, ensuring design quality and site safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to the Project Manager and project team.
• Daily liaison with design teams, subcontractors and on‑site personnel.
• Perform technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models and drawings.
• Implement QA procedures, conduct concrete pre‑ and post‑pour checks, manage RFIs and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain and monitor safe working practices on site.
• Monitor and record materials, plant, logistics and produce regular reports.

Required profile

• Relevant third‑level degree in engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a main‑contractor environment.
• Experience on high‑rise, residential or commercial building projects.
• Excellent IT proficiency.
