Senior Enterprise Operations Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Enterprise Operations Engineer to join its EMEA Network Operations team in Dublin. The role provides advanced network support under a global follow‑the‑sun model, ensuring the stability and performance of Mastercard’s worldwide payment infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Tier II network support for Mastercard’s business and project teams.
• Perform proactive network analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance.
• Identify root causes of incidents, implement fixes, and drive long‑term solutions.
• Create and update technical documentation and produce incident reports.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute network changes following internal change‑control procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and occasional off‑hours work.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of BGP, IBGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Advanced experience with routing and switching on industry‑leading platforms.
• Strong understanding of firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto) and WAN technologies (EVPN, SD‑WAN, MPLS, GRE).
• Experience working with telecom carriers for MPLS/Internet circuit delivery and maintenance.
• Automation experience using Python, Ansible or similar tools.
• Hands‑on experience with remote VPN services and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Proven ability to handle incident calls and provide clear technical reporting.
