Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join Walls Construction’s on‑site team. The role involves supporting the construction management team by overseeing the quality and progress of building elements on active projects. You will work directly on construction sites, ensuring that all activities meet the company’s health, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set out and level works, and perform quality control checks such as concrete cube sampling and slump testing.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement steel and other dimensions before concrete pours.
• Maintain material reconciliation files and upload documentation to the Document Management System.
• Keep a detailed site diary and record all site activities.
• Supervise directly employed staff and subcontractors across various construction tasks.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental and quality policies on site.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Civil or Construction Engineering).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience with a building contractor.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with surveying instruments and equipment.
• Strong IT skills, including use of construction‑specific software and DMS.
• Experience in concrete quality testing (cube sampling, slump testing).
