Site Engineer – Windfarm Project (Laois)

About the role

This permanent position is for a Site Engineer on a windfarm project in Laois. The role combines civil works such as access track construction, site drainage and fencing with electrical cable installation and termination.

Key responsibilities

• Install and terminate power cables across the windfarm.
• Construct and maintain access tracks, site drainage systems and perimeter fencing.
• Coordinate civil and electrical activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Manage subcontractors and monitor progress against project schedules.
• Report on site performance and liaise with the project team and client.

Required profile

• Engineering‑related degree (civil, electrical or related discipline).
• Proven experience managing civil and electrical works on main contractor projects in Ireland.
• Understanding of electrical systems and cable installation/termination.
• Ability to work on a windfarm site without prior windfarm experience.
