Site Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Site Manager to lead the delivery of large‑scale solar renewable energy projects in Waterford. You will own all on‑site activities from mobilisation through to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and schedule are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations from start to completion.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Maintain programme and budget targets.
• Drive health & safety standards and lead by example.
• Conduct regular quality checks and resolve issues promptly.
• Run site meetings and keep stakeholders informed.
• Track progress and report to senior management.
• Support commissioning and hand‑over phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or strong engineering/supervisory background.
• Background in construction, preferably within energy or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical or general building environments.
• Deep understanding of health & safety on busy sites.
• Confident team leader with ability to manage subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read drawings and deliver site programmes.
