Staff Nurse – Emergency Department (Permanent)

About the role

The Health Service Executive is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department across its regional hospitals in the Dublin and Midlands health region. This permanent, full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, triage and provide nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Administer medications, perform procedures and monitor patient vital signs.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection‑control standards.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and contribute to a safe, efficient department.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid nursing registration in Ireland.
• Minimum two years post‑registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centred care in a fast‑paced environment.
