Staff Nurse – Enhanced (Full‑time, 75 hrs fortnightly)

About the role

The position is a permanent, full‑time Staff Nurse role within the Cruachan Adult Services covering Strokestown, Tulsk, Elphin, Ballinagare and Ballaghaderreen. The nurse will work in residential, respite, day‑setting or community environments, supporting adults with intellectual disability, autism or complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review person‑centred plans that promote independence and skill development.
• Support individuals in making informed choices and taking positive risks.
• Network with local community groups to create inclusive opportunities.
• Assist with goal setting, planning and monitoring outcomes.
• Provide care across a 14‑day roster, including days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleep‑overs and night duty.

Required profile

• Current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais) – RNID or RGN qualification.
• Full clean manual driving licence; willingness to obtain a Class D1 licence (support provided).
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in IT applications.
• Desirable experience with intellectual disability, autism or complex needs (training provided).
