About the role

Avista is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the team at St Louise’s Centre in Dublin 12. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred, community-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring their health and wellbeing.
• Adopt a holistic, person-centred approach to help clients live their best lives and develop skills.
• Support people to integrate into their community and participate in activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement person-centred plans.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Full, clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Proficiency in English.
• Desirable: RNID registration, knowledge of person-centred planning and HIQA standards, and Level 1 Avista behavioural competencies.
