Supervising Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

As a Supervising Pharmacist with Boots Ireland you will lead a community pharmacy team to deliver high‑quality patient care. Beyond dispensing medicines, you will provide expert advice, ensure safety, and support the pharmacy’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the pharmacy strategy by delivering expert care and advice to customers and patients.
• Make legal and ethical decisions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Develop the pharmacy capability of store teams through coaching and training.
• Conduct continuous audits, observations and risk assessments to maintain patient safety.
• Provide a range of professional pharmacy services in line with national and local guidelines.

Required profile

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
• Minimum three years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong professional reputation among peers, patients and external professionals.
• Passion for community pharmacy and delivering excellent patient care.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations and national/local service provisions.
• Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments and implement improvements.
• Proficiency in making legal and ethical pharmacy decisions.
