Sustainable Livelihood Project Coordinator

About the role

The Sustainable Livelihood Project Coordinator will join Simberi Gold’s Community Relations team on Simberi Island. Reporting to the Community Relations Manager, you will help design, implement and monitor livelihood and development programmes that support local communities and align with the company’s Integrated Approach.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and report on community development and sustainable livelihood projects from initiation through completion.
• Lead project budgeting, financial tracking, evaluation and reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, schedules and progress reports.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, compliance requirements and community expectations.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with cooperatives, government agencies and community representatives.
• Organise shareholder and stakeholder meetings, and provide regular updates to the Community Relations Manager and senior management.
• Promote safety, environmental stewardship and compliance across all project activities.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating community development or livelihood projects, preferably in a mining or remote‑area context.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work on a 21/14 roster and adapt to on‑site conditions.
• Commitment to high standards of safety, environmental care and ethical conduct.
