Team Leader – Retail

About the role

As a Team Leader at Costa Coffee Shankill you will be the first line of management, guiding a crew of baristas and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role is designed as a development pathway toward store management or regional responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations and maintain service standards.
• Ensure high‑quality coffee preparation and presentation.
• Manage staff scheduling, breaks, and shift coverage.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene compliance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and place orders.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build capability.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and reliable with a passion for coffee.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lead a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic numeracy for cash handling.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.
