Technical Representative Ireland / Northern Ireland

About the role

JULABO is looking for a results-driven technical sales representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out, engage and support its products across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The role covers technical sales, customer support and market monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the technical requirements of customers' applications and match them to the product portfolio
• Explain complex technical features and benefits to potential customers
• Support customers with demonstrations and illustrations of similar installations
• Liaise with distributors and service partners throughout the territory
• Attend conferences and exhibitions as required
• Observe and assess markets and applications, feeding back to the parent company for marketing and product development
• Monitor and report on market development and marketing initiatives
• Ensure sales objectives are met
• Update customer contact information and report to management as required

Required profile

• Degree level education, ideally in chemistry, chemical engineering or a similar related field, or significant experience commercialising laboratory equipment
• Technical knowledge and experience in at least one of the company's key market areas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Initiative, self-motivated and able to work remotely from the office
• Understanding of the sales process, from prospect to installation
• Team player
