Account Strategist – Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role
Google Customer Solutions is looking for an Account Strategist to help small‑ and medium‑sized businesses across Sub‑Saharan Africa grow with Google’s advertising solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating client needs into effective digital marketing strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of medium‑sized businesses, understand their growth drivers and create multi‑quarter plans.
- Collaborate with the Sales, Agency and Accelerated Growth Team to ensure execution and accountability.
- Develop creative approaches to strengthen customer relationships and share performance‑enhancing recommendations.
- Identify key stakeholders, including C‑level executives, to support annual digital marketing plans.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media or marketing.
- Fluent English communication skills for client engagement across the region.
- Proven ability to own a portfolio, exceed quotas and drive growth.
