Acute Nurse – Agency (Dublin)

About the role

Emerald Nursing is seeking experienced Registered Acute General Nurses (RGNs) to work on an agency basis across Dublin’s leading private hospitals, HSE teaching hospitals, national specialist centres and Section 38 services. You will be placed in acute care environments where you can deliver high‑quality nursing care while enjoying flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in acute hospital settings, including assessment, medication administration and wound management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and infection‑control standards.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, supporting both day and night shifts.

Required profile

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Registered General Nurse.
• Minimum six months recent clinical experience in an Irish acute hospital.
• Strong clinical references.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Current mandatory training and compliance with occupational health and Garda vetting (arranged by Emerald Nursing).
