Asset Management & Operations Director

About the role

Jacobs is seeking an Asset Management & Operations Director to lead the asset management strategy for a major transport programme in Dublin. This senior position will shape long‑term performance, resilience and value of critical infrastructure across the programme lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a programme‑wide strategic asset management plan aligned with ISO 55000.
• Enhance client capability through improved governance, processes, systems and data management.
• Act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and influencing strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high‑quality outcomes.
• Drive innovation by leveraging digital tools, data analytics and emerging technologies.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and succession planning for the asset management team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in asset management within complex, asset‑intensive environments.
• Professional accreditation or chartered status (e.g., IAM, engineering).
• Background in rail or light‑rail projects is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership of data‑driven teams and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and business development skills.
