Assistant General Manager – Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to work alongside the General Manager in running a high‑end gastro‑pub. The role is hands‑on, focusing on delivering excellent service, driving revenue and creating a vibrant atmosphere for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the smooth daily operation of the venue.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
• Assist in driving sales, revenue and event bookings.
• Oversee floor operations, ensuring efficient and professional service.
• Help manage, motivate and develop the team to maintain a fun, productive environment.
• Coordinate private events and function space bookings.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards.
• Participate in staff training and development.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an assistant management role within hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Passion for customer service and the hospitality industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Positive, hands‑on attitude with strong attention to detail.
