Assistant to National Director – Sustainable Infrastructure

About the role

The Assistant to the National Director for Sustainable Infrastructure will provide high‑level administrative and strategic support within the Health Service Executive’s Strategic Health Infrastructure and Capital Delivery division. The role is based in Dublin and will work closely with the National Director and regional offices across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the National Director in planning, coordinating and monitoring sustainable infrastructure projects.
• Liaise with regional offices in Letterkenny, Sligo, Galway, Limerick, Tralee, Cork, Tullamore, Kilkenny, Swords, Cherry Orchard, Carrickmines and Kells.
• Support the implementation of the HSE blended working policy and manage on‑site attendance requirements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, reports and briefing materials for capital delivery initiatives.
• Participate in panels that may fill current and future permanent or specified‑purpose vacancies.

Required profile

• Open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants.
• Willing to work from the designated Dublin office(s) and travel to regional sites as needed.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
