Associate Director - Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a senior Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to lead commercial activities on large‑scale construction projects. The role combines consultancy expertise with digital delivery, supporting our growth across Ireland and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Irish and European business together with partners.
• Manage the commercial process during the design stage, ensuring cost development aligns with budget.
• Liaise with design teams to control design evolution and change.
• Utilise digital tools for quantitative take‑off and cost estimating.
• Support clients and stakeholders in decision‑making.
• Integrate BIM processes, advising on 5D modelling.
• Collaborate with specialists on Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies.
• Maintain client relationships and act as a brand ambassador.
• Travel nationally and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor or Construction Professional.
• Minimum 15 years of consultancy experience.
• Proven experience in pre‑contract cost management and design‑stage budgeting.
• Leadership ability, self‑motivation and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience on projects valued over €50 million.
• Strong interest in digitisation and BIM.
• Fluent English.
