Associate Professor in Computing (Permanent)

About the role

Dublin City University’s School of Computing seeks an Associate Professor who will be recognised as a leader in the computing discipline. The successful candidate will drive excellence in teaching, research and scholarly administration while contributing to the School’s strategic agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including innovative teaching and laboratory supervision.
• Mentor and supervise student research projects and theses.
• Develop and advance the School’s research portfolio, securing competitive funding and fostering industry collaborations.
• Participate in School, Faculty and University administration, working closely with teaching and research convenors.
• Build strong relationships with professional support staff, technical specialists and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Established reputation for academic excellence and internationally competitive research in computing.
• Extensive experience in teaching and supervising at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Proven ability to develop industry partnerships and collaborative research projects.
• Strong collaborative skills with colleagues across the School and Faculty.
• Relevant doctoral qualification and a record of high‑impact publications.
