AutoCAD Designer – Playground Projects

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our team in Cork, working on playgrounds, multi‑use games areas, running tracks and skateparks. The role combines office‑based design work with site visits and client consultations.

Key responsibilities

• Design playgrounds to EN1176 safety standards.
• Create 3D models of playgrounds to provide accurate visualisations for clients.
• Prepare project presentations and tender documents on the eTenders platform.
• Liaise with community groups, councils and other stakeholders to capture project requirements.
• Respond to queries from the installation team using your drawings.
• Develop expertise in all aspects of playground design.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD design experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Full Irish driving licence.
• Eagerness to learn the playground construction industry.

Required skills

• AutoCAD.
