AutoCAD Technician – Water & Wastewater Projects

About the role

We are looking for an AutoCAD Technician to join Nicholas O'Dwyer’s water and wastewater design team. The successful candidate will produce high‑quality 2‑D AutoCAD drawings and technical documentation for treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines and related civil assets across Ireland, the UK and international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain AutoCAD drawings, sections, details and schedules to project standards.
• Coordinate drawings with civil, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines.
• Support ISO 19650‑compliant information delivery and manage revisions in the Common Data Environment.
• Assist engineers with drawing production, design changes and project handover documentation.
• Resolve drawing issues across disciplines and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting for water or wastewater infrastructure (exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered).
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and CDE workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to delivering accurate work within agreed programme timescales.
