BIM Modeller

About the role

Mercury is seeking a BIM Modeller to join its construction solutions team in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. You will be responsible for creating accurate 3D construction models and supporting the delivery of complex engineering projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 3D construction models from base design, PID’s, scan and point‑cloud data.
• Provide construction detailing to enable automatic generation of isometrics and bills of materials.
• Manage clash detection across all systems and develop coordinated service and structure layouts.
• Maintain drawing schedules, develop models and reports in line with project timelines.
• Attend design and construction reviews, and contribute to BIM protocol development.
• Collaborate with the BIM steering committee to drive improvement road‑maps.
• Travel to sites in Ireland and abroad as required.
• Train and mentor new staff on BIM processes and standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience producing 3D construction models and managing BIM data.
• Familiarity with Mercury’s CAD and BIM manuals and processes.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and work on‑site.
• Strong problem‑solving and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
