Business Development Manager – Construction & Infrastructure (Ireland)

About the role

We are an innovative civil engineering solutions provider seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across Ireland’s construction and infrastructure markets. This field‑based, consultative sales role focuses on building trusted relationships with consulting engineers, main contractors, civil engineering firms, infrastructure developers and specialist subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers across the Irish construction sector.
• Identify and win new business opportunities early in project lifecycles.
• Deliver consultative presentations and technical introductions tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to design bespoke engineering solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to contract closure and project handover.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of projects and market activity.
• Attend client meetings, industry events and site visits throughout Ireland.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or technical services.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Ability to sell consultatively and manage long sales cycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and commercial acumen.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
