CAD Designer / BIM Technician

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Designer / BIM Technician to join a well‑established engineering contractor delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland. The role focuses on producing detailed engineering drawings and 3D BIM models while collaborating with multidisciplinary civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop and coordinate 3D BIM models in Revit and Plant 3D.
• Integrate designs from civil, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines.
• Support BIM coordination activities and ensure model consistency.
• Interpret and apply P&IDs, layout and pipework design information.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a CAD/BIM role.
• Experience working on water, utilities or infrastructure projects (preferred).
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
