Café Manager

About the role

The Café Manager will lead the daily operations of the café at Ballina RSL Club, delivering exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction. This full‑time, on‑site position requires overseeing staff, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with food safety and health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day café operations and ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage and schedule staff, providing leadership and resolving conflicts.
• Oversee inventory, stock control and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
• Assist in menu development and monitor financial performance.
• Drive customer engagement and uphold service excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in staff management, scheduling, team leadership and conflict resolution.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control and supplier liaison.
• Ability to monitor budgets, financial performance and implement cost controls.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in hospitality or food & beverage industry preferred.
• Formal qualifications in hospitality management are advantageous.
