Construction Manager – Mechanical Fire Protection

About the role

Mercury is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead mechanical fire‑protection projects across Dublin. You will be responsible for delivering complex engineering solutions on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning to commissioning.
• Prepare and present progress reports for stakeholders.
• Coordinate design consultants and building contractors.
• Develop cost‑effective solutions and accurate cost projections.
• Oversee site design, construction processes, and resource planning (labour, materials, sub‑contractors).
• Lead a large multidisciplinary team to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and profitability targets.
• Report on construction progress and handle any additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager.
• Strong knowledge of the complete design and construction process.
• Proven ability to manage people, programmes, and large‑scale projects.
• Trade background or relevant third‑level qualification.
• Demonstrated record of coordinating and delivering large projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
