Corporate Counsel (Junior)

About the role

SolarWinds is seeking a bright, energetic solicitor to join its Legal Department in Cork as a junior Corporate Counsel. The role will support the commercial function across sales, GRC, product and engineering teams, working closely with senior legal leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, revise and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS and on‑premise software licence agreements, maintenance and support agreements, partner and OEM agreements.
• Advise on privacy matters, negotiate data‑processing addenda and security statements, and collaborate with information‑security and IT teams.
• Respond to ad‑hoc queries from global sales teams, maintain playbooks and standard contract templates, and seek efficiencies in the commercial function.
• Monitor and provide guidance on European legislative developments such as the EU AI Act, NIS2, DORA, CRA, as well as issues related to open‑source, encryption and data security.
• Provide substantive support to other members of the Legal Department and undertake special projects as assigned.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS and on‑premise software licence agreements.
• Knowledge of privacy law, data‑processing agreements and security statements.
• Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks such as the AI Act, NIS2, DORA and CRA.
• Understanding of open‑source licensing, encryption and data‑security considerations.
