About the role
We are seeking compassionate and highly skilled Critical Care Nurses to join our multidisciplinary team at a leading private hospital in Limerick. The role involves delivering specialised nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast‑paced intensive care environment, prioritising patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients.
- Monitor, assess, and accurately record vital signs and clinical conditions.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products safely.
- Operate and monitor advanced life‑support equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
- Maintain up‑to‑date patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and healthcare regulations.
- Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory training.
Required profile
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification.
- 1–2 years recent experience in ICU, HDU, or acute hospital care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
