Customer Service Assistant – Retail Betting Shop

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to deliver an outstanding experience to visitors of our betting shop. You will support the Shop Manager in daily operations, ensure smooth opening and closing, and help customers place bets across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop operations.
• Open and close the shop, manage cash and oversee cash‑handling procedures.
• Accept and process customer bets using betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and responsible‑gaming policies.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to in‑shop and online offerings.
• Step in to lead the team in the absence of senior managers.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Trustworthy, reliable and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Interest in sport and betting, with good communication skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress within the company.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPOS systems.
• Cash‑handling experience.
• Operation of betting terminals.
