Data and AI Specialist – Agentic Tax Processes & Platforms

About the role

EY’s Global Tax Centre of Excellence Data & AI team is looking for a Data and AI Specialist to design and build agentic tax workflows powered by AI‑ready data products. The role sits at the intersection of tax domain expertise, data architecture and applied AI, ensuring scalable, trustworthy solutions for EY’s tax technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design agentic workflows for tax processes, defining task‑level agent responsibilities, agent‑to‑agent communication patterns, human‑in‑the‑loop and escalation models.
• Create reusable agent blueprints aligned with Lean‑derived task definitions and apply cutting‑edge design tools such as Codex, Factory AI, GitHub Copilot.
• Build AI‑ready data marts that expose tax data at the appropriate grain, maintain lineage, and support deterministic and probabilistic reasoning.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines from ERP systems, tax platforms, semi‑structured documents and external sources.
• Implement embedded governance and security controls, ensuring compatibility with client governance models (e.g., Microsoft Agent 365) and real‑time risk monitoring.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering and analytics, including SQL database design and data modelling.
• Advanced certifications or proven expertise in AI, machine learning, cloud computing or data engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms and AI tooling such as Azure ML, Databricks, MLflow, LangChain or LangGraph.
• Strong background in data governance, quality management and large‑scale data integration.
