About the role
The Deli Assistant role focuses on preparing high‑quality hot and cold deli products while ensuring customer satisfaction is the top priority. This part‑time position is based on Main Street in Rathdrum.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare customer orders across all fresh‑food areas, including making sandwiches, rolling dishes, and slicing meats.
- Cook, prepare, and display foods sold throughout the day, maintaining high standards for counter displays.
- Share product knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with shoppers.
- Handle customer queries efficiently and professionally in line with store policy.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for food.
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment and multitask under pressure.
- HACCP training is desirable but not essential.
