Design Manager

About the role

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design teams within a modular and off‑site construction environment. You will ensure high‑quality design output, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive innovative solutions that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead department meetings, ensuring design directives are followed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve design goals and meet client expectations.
• Delegate tasks, review completed work, and maintain design quality standards.
• Develop and monitor design budgets, ensuring financial viability.
• Mentor and motivate team members, providing training on new design developments and business guidelines.
• Produce timely, high‑quality structural drawings and designs.
• Assist in creating design delivery schedules with clients, project managers, and consultants.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting, modular contracting, or design consultancy.
• NFQ Level 7 qualification in Architectural Technology, Civil & Structural Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Effective organisational, time‑management and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
