Design Standardization Architect I

About the role

The Design Standardization Architect I will lead the creation and implementation of a global, standardized design methodology for the Chiller Solutions product line. Working from Dublin, you will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and automation teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality design outputs across new product development and sustaining activities.

Key responsibilities

• Document and maintain existing chiller design processes through workshops, design‑for‑manufacturing reviews, and cross‑functional input.
• Develop and formalise design rules, guidelines, templates, and a standardised methodology integrated into the PDP/D3 process.
• Act as product‑line architect for engineering order manuals, 3D/2D model structures, and BOM standardisation.
• Support the design automation team by providing generic tools, templates, and data structures required for their roadmap.
• Coordinate global process change, guiding Chiller Solutions teams through adoption and training.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on design experience in configurable equipment or product businesses.
• Strong background in equipment design, documentation, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience delivering design standards across multiple product lines.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % of the time.

Required skills

• 3D modeling software: Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor.
• 2D AutoCAD (especially Electrical).
• ERP systems: SAP, MAPICS, AS/400.
• Bill‑of‑Material configurators: eLogia, VC.
