Facilities Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to manage the day‑to‑day operation of our care centre’s physical environment. The role ensures a safe, compliant, and well‑maintained setting for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life‑safety systems.
• Lead and supervise maintenance, housekeeping, and grounds‑keeping teams.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations.
• Manage relationships with contractors and vendors for repairs, inspections, and waste services.
• Coordinate inspections and promptly address any deficiencies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and compliance documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and participate in drills.
• Assist with facility upgrades, refurbishments, and improvement projects.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in facilities, maintenance, or supervisory roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
• Proven ability to manage staff and external contractors.
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Good understanding of health and safety standards; HIQA knowledge is an advantage.
