Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance team across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and play a pivotal role in shaping the finance function as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all finance operations, including management accounts, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, taxation, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Oversee statutory compliance, tax filings, audited financial statements, and the annual external audit process.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and controls while mentoring the finance team.
• Partner with senior leadership on acquisitions, integrations, due diligence, banking relationships, and growth projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with at least 8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a professional services environment such as an accountancy practice or legal firm.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast‑paced setting.
• Track record of delivering high‑quality financial reporting and analysis.
