Finishing Foreman

About the role

You will lead the finishing works on a large residential development on the outskirts of Galway, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and client satisfaction. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing on‑site issues and keeping the project on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all finishing activities, maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the project manager, suppliers and other team members for efficient delivery.
• Inspect work for compliance with specifications and maintain site records and progress reports.
• Lead, guide and monitor the finishing team, addressing performance issues promptly.
• Ensure all works meet health and safety regulations and client expectations.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years’ experience as a Finishing Foreman, Site Foreman or similar role.
• Strong background in construction, particularly finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of Irish construction site health & safety requirements.
• Proven leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Experience managing subcontractors, trades and site priorities.
• High attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Full Irish driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IT and construction management systems.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings/specifications.
