Finishing Site Manager – Cork

About the role

The Finishing Site Manager will lead the final stages of a large education construction project in Cork, ensuring that all internal and external finishes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme delivery up to practical completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all finishing trades, including carpentry, drylining, ceilings, flooring, painting, tiling, joinery and final M&E installations.
• Drive the project through the closing construction phases, maintaining programme milestones and timelines.
• Conduct regular quality inspections, snagging, and resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and workflow efficiency on site.
• Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications and BCAR documentation.
• Maintain high health and safety standards across all finishing activities.
• Coordinate handover processes, manage snag lists and ensure timely completion of outstanding works.
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants and design teams on finishing details and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finishing Manager or Site Manager on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong background delivering education, residential or commercial projects through the finishing stages.
• Excellent knowledge of construction detailing and high‑quality finishes.
• Strong organisational and subcontractor management abilities.
• Ability to manage snagging, quality control and final handover processes.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and BCAR requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
