About the role

We are seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Assistant to join the Radisson BLU Hotel in Athlone. The role focuses on supporting meetings and events, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with set‑up and breakdown of banquet spaces for meetings and events, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the catering team to deliver outstanding service to event attendees.
• Welcome guests warmly, upsell menu items and beverages, and address inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a professional demeanor, anticipate guest needs, and exceed expectations.
• Uphold hotel food and beverage service standards, menu knowledge, and sanitation protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop skills and knowledge.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a food and beverage service role, preferably in a hotel.
• Availability to work full‑time hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures is a plus.
