Food & Beverage Assistant

About the role

The Food & Beverage Assistant will deliver the highest level of guest service within the hotel’s restaurants and bars, upholding the standards of service excellence expected at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. This role requires a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the hotel’s reputation for quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide top‑tier guest service in all Food & Beverage areas, ensuring 4‑star quality standards are consistently met.
• Follow cash handling procedures, report any discrepancies, and manage credit card and cheque transactions according to hotel policy.
• Control stock levels, record waste and spillages, and report issues promptly to management.
• Maintain safe working practices, promptly address spillages, and ensure hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Promote sales across the department and the wider hotel, and stay knowledgeable about menus, specials, cocktails, and overall hotel facilities.
• Participate in team activities, attend training, appraisals, meetings, and comply with all company policies and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in a similar Food & Beverage role.
• Strong commitment to guest care and pride in delivering high‑quality service.
• Flexibility to adapt to management requests and team needs.
• Willingness to attend training sessions, appraisals, and departmental meetings.
• Adherence to hygiene, health & safety, fire, licensing, and employment regulations.
