Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Carton House, Ireland’s first Fairmont hotel, is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead its F&B team across all outlets. You will ensure exceptional service, uphold luxury standards, and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Food & Beverage team during shifts, maintaining high service standards.
• Welcome guests warmly, address feedback, and resolve service issues promptly.
• Support the F&B Management team in daily operations and smooth service delivery.
• Monitor departmental standards, compliance with hotel policies, and luxury hospitality expectations.
• Implement and maintain effective stock control, assist with inventory management, and minimize wastage.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, specials, wines, cocktails, and promotions.
• Drive revenue through upselling and promotion of F&B offerings.
• Handle cash and billing procedures accurately according to company policies.
• Motivate, coach, and develop team members, fostering a positive work environment.
• Assist with training, onboarding, shift reporting, and handovers.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations are consistently met.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in Food & Beverage within a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel or luxury hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of hotel F&B operations and a passion for guest satisfaction.
• Proven leadership, motivation, and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Organised, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
• High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
