Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Hyde Bar & Restaurant is seeking a full‑time Food & Beverage Supervisor to join its award‑winning team. Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will help deliver a high‑end service experience while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with Irish health, safety and employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑of‑house operations to guarantee smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure food and beverage presentation meets the business’s quality standards.
• Monitor service areas for cleanliness, organization, and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Address customer queries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate and support front‑of‑house staff, including servers, assistants, and trainees.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to maintain high service standards.
• Allocate tasks, report performance issues, and assist with corrective actions.
• Maintain adherence to Irish Health & Safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
• Oversee opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and minimise wastage.
• Support the Restaurant Manager with operational reporting and shift handovers.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory experience in a food service or hospitality environment (desirable).
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused setting.
• Knowledge of Irish food safety, hygiene and employment legislation (advantageous).
• Flexible, reliable and capable of motivating a team.
• Legal right to work in Ireland and completion of mandatory training (HACCP, Manual Handling, Health & Safety).
