Front Office Manager

About the role

The Front Office Manager leads the hotel’s front desk team, ensuring seamless guest experiences and optimal revenue performance. Reporting to senior management, the role combines operational oversight, staff development, and strategic planning to uphold the highest standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming policies while on duty.
• Organise and chair monthly front office meetings, distributing minutes to senior management.
• Monitor arrivals, especially VIP guests, and coordinate personalized services.
• Analyse upcoming business trends, forecast demand, and adjust staffing and resources accordingly.
• Implement revenue‑maximising strategies through yield management, occupancy tracking and rate optimization.
• Oversee budgeting for room revenue, occupancy targets and departmental expenses.
• Schedule staff rosters within budget constraints and ensure full coverage of shifts.
• Ensure delivery of agreed‑upon services such as porterage, wake‑up calls and guest requests.
• Maintain accurate billing, monitor ledger entries and verify that guest charges are settled correctly.
• Continuously update SOPs, train team members and uphold quality standards across all guest interactions.
