General Foreperson

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Foreperson to lead concrete and civil works on a variety of residential, life‑science and commercial projects in Cork. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ensure that all on‑site activities meet the highest quality standards, regulatory requirements and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all general concrete work activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate, monitor and report on subcontractor performance against the agreed schedule.
• Collaborate closely with site personnel, the Health & Safety team and the Site Manager to deliver projects on time and to specification.
• Provide clear direction, motivate teams and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Plan and track project milestones, addressing any deviations promptly.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in civil construction, particularly concrete works.
• Proven ability to manage large teams of contractors and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
