General Maintenance Operative

About the role

The General Maintenance Operative will be responsible for keeping a portfolio of GSCK/KVHA properties safe, secure and in good condition. This role involves routine building upkeep, cleaning of multi‑occupancy spaces and basic gardening to maintain attractive outdoor areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, inspections and servicing of facilities.
• Ensure all occupied properties are clean, tidy and meet health and safety standards.
• Carry out basic gardening duties, including lawn mowing, hedge trimming and litter removal.
• Report any significant defects or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
