General Manager – Boutique Hotel

About the role

The General Manager will lead HYDE Hotel, a 4‑star boutique property with 69 rooms in the heart of Galway City. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the GM is responsible for delivering strong room revenue, high‑quality guest experiences, and profitable food & beverage operations across HYDE Bar, Jekyll and Wylde Café.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and develop a high‑performing management team, fostering a performance‑driven culture.
• Own the hotel P&L, meeting revenue, GOP and EBITDA targets while collaborating with revenue management and sales.
• Drive room sales across all channels, optimise ADR, occupancy and RevPAR, and manage rate and inventory strategies.
• Maintain exceptional standards in rooms, front‑office operations, and guest communications, acting on feedback to improve experience.
• Oversee HYDE Bar, Jekyll and Wylde Café, ensuring each outlet has a clear concept, commercial plan and profitable menu, beverage and events strategy.
• Maximise revenue from private events and corporate functions in the Jekyll space.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment law and company standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably within boutique or lifestyle brands.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding P&L targets.
• Excellent guest‑centric mindset and ability to drive service excellence.
• Experience managing multiple F&B outlets and event spaces.
• Ability to build, motivate and retain high‑performing teams.
