General Operative – Construction Site Labourer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated General Operative to join our construction team in Ashbourne. You will support project delivery by handling materials, operating equipment and assisting site set‑up while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Transport and handle materials between warehouse, deliveries and multiple sites.
• Operate power tools and plant equipment as required.
• Assist with site set‑up, including erection of fencing, offices and temporary structures such as mobile towers.
• Perform general and skilled labour tasks under the direction of Site or Project Managers.
• Maintain site housekeeping standards and manage site access, log‑ins and deliveries.
• Carry out occasional administrative duties and site opening/closing tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience on construction sites.
• Physically able to lift, transport and clean materials throughout the day.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities with a good command of English.
• Honest, flexible, efficient and self‑motivated team player.
• Full clean driver’s licence and current Safe Pass certification.

• Manual handling training – preferred
• Abrasive wheels training – preferred
• Mobile Access Tower Scaffold training – advantageous
