General Operative – Production Filling

About the role

The General Operative is responsible for the efficient and accurate filling of dairy products into tubs or foil at Ornua's Mitchelstown facility. You will work with a range of products, set machine parameters, and ensure high‑quality standards throughout production.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the product range and its behaviour during tub or foil filling.
• Set up machine run parameters using consul commands and screen options according to the Manufacturing Order.
• Configure ink‑jet printers, position heads correctly, and load product data.
• Perform X‑Ray tests and verify metal‑detection system functionality.
• Change internal machine components when required for product changes.
• Monitor production runs, clear blockages or spills promptly, and maintain a clean work area.
• Prepare machines for cleaning, execute hand‑wash bath procedures, and follow CIP (Clean‑In‑Place) protocols.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of the product range and its reaction during filling.
• Familiarity with consul commands, screen options, and machine set‑up procedures.
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining high‑quality standards and safety.
