Global Director – Commercial Finance & Sales Operations

About the role

This senior executive position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and leads the finance and sales‑operations function for a multi‑billion‑dollar Global Commercial Organization. Based in Cork with a hybrid working model, the role combines financial planning, sales performance management and governance across a worldwide footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Design and monitor sales productivity, pipeline conversion and efficiency metrics; sit on the Global Commercial Incentives Committee.
• Oversee global pricing structures, discounting guidelines and Gross‑to‑Net (GtN) optimisation.
• Act as Control VP and Business Process Owner for sales‑operations internal controls, maintaining SOX‑compliant approval matrices.
• Lead end‑to‑end process transformation and automation in partnership with Finance, Legal and IT.
• Build, direct and upscale a high‑performing international team across multiple regions.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of progressive experience equally split between global corporate finance and sales‑operations leadership.
• Proven track record in large, matrixed multinational corporations.
• Experience managing complex, cross‑regional functions beyond a single geography.
• Demonstrated ability to influence C‑suite, VP and senior commercial leaders.
• Cultural dexterity from managing diverse, multinational teams.
