Group Procurement Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Group Procurement Manager to lead the development and implementation of a company‑wide procurement strategy for a fast‑growing engineering and infrastructure contractor. Based in one of the two Irish offices, the role reports to the Procurement Director and provides strategic governance, commercial guidance and risk oversight across multiple business units and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain group‑level procurement governance, policies and frameworks in a decentralised environment.
• Lead procurement governance meetings, supplier reviews and escalation forums.
• Oversee audits, compliance reporting and supplier onboarding processes.
• Monitor spend, KPI reporting and stakeholder engagement to ensure consistent application of procurement requirements.
• Develop commercial templates, contractual frameworks and risk allocation methodologies.
• Support subcontract procurement oversight and advise project delivery teams on commercial matters.
• Drive continuous improvement of procurement capability and operational maturity.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior procurement professional within engineering, construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong background in procurement governance, commercial management and strategic sourcing.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple regions, business units and projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
