Healthcare Solicitor – Medical Negligence Specialist

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Defend medical negligence claims before the Circuit Court, High Court and Supreme Court.
• Advise hospitals, healthcare providers and medical professionals on disputes and claims.
• Take instructions from medical and nursing practitioners and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Manage litigation matters from inception through to resolution.
• Provide guidance on clinical governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Handle professional disciplinary and regulatory matters.

Required profile

• 2+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in healthcare/medical negligence defence.
• Strong drafting, analytical and case‑management abilities.
• Proven experience handling a busy and demanding caseload.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving.
